Crypto payments explained

Curaçao crypto casinos

Every casino we review accepts crypto, but blogs promising payouts in minutes can clash with terms that allow three banking days. We compare coins, minimums, payout times and bonuses, and explain networks and fees.

The key point

Match the coin and the network at both ends, and read the casino’s terms rather than its blog: payout times, deposit-method rules and bonus wagering decide what a crypto payment is worth in practice.

01 / Coins and networks

How crypto payments work at Curaçao casinos

A crypto payment at a Curaçao casino involves two choices: the coin you send and the network it travels on. Bitcoin moves on its own blockchain and ether on Ethereum, but Tether’s USDT exists on several networks, the largest being Tron and Ethereum. A USDT payment sent on a network the casino does not support is usually lost for good, so the network in the deposit instruction matters as much as the address.

Once the payment arrives, the casino either credits a balance in that coin or converts it into euros, pounds or dollars. Bitcoin.org explains how wallets and blockchain transactions work. Our guide to Bitcoin Curaçao casinos compares the Bitcoin minimums and rules at each casino we review, and our guide to Ethereum Curaçao casinos does the same for ether, including the network behind each deposit, and our guide to Tether Curaçao casinos covers USDT and its networks. Our payment methods hub compares crypto with cards and bank transfers, and the Neteller and e-wallets guide covers wallets such as Skrill, which work differently.

02 / Curaçao crypto casinos

Curaçao crypto casinos compared

All 12 casinos we review accept cryptocurrency in some form, as we read their sites in October 2026. Seven hold a Curaçao licence, Wildies holds an Anjouan licence, and Winbeast, Winplace, Legionbet and Slotosport name no licence. We made no crypto payments for this guide, so the minimums and times are the casinos’ published figures.

Blog payout times and the terms

The blogs of four Santeda casinos promise fast crypto payouts: 5 to 15 minutes at Rolletto, under 30 minutes at Velobet, two to six hours at Zizobet and 24 hours at Cosmobet. Their terms allow three banking days for every payout, and it is the terms that set the casino’s commitment. The Rolletto review sets its blog figures against its terms.

03 / Curaçao licence and crypto

Why the Curaçao licence is common for crypto casinos

Crypto is standard at the Curaçao online casinos we review: all seven Curaçao-licensed casinos accept it, six of them listing eight coins as account currencies. But crypto is just as common at the casinos without a Curaçao licence, so accepting crypto says nothing about which regulator, if any, oversees a site. Check the licence holder and licence number before you rely on a crypto casino’s Curaçao claim.

Curaçao’s licensing framework changed when the National Ordinance on Games of Chance, known as the LOK, took effect in December 2024, bringing licensing and enforcement under the Curaçao Gaming Authority. A Curaçao licence for crypto casinos is the same licence as for any other casino: it authorises gambling, not any particular payment method. Our guide to the Curaçao licensing reforms explains what changed.

04 / UK rules and protection

Crypto, UK rules and your protection

Online gambling offered to people in England, Scotland and Wales needs a Gambling Commission licence, and paying in crypto does not change that; a Curaçao licence does not replace it, and Northern Ireland has a separate framework. Several casinos in the table exclude UK residents in their terms or block UK visitors. The Commission treats cryptocurrency as a high-risk payment method for money laundering, so a crypto deposit is no reason to expect lighter checks. Our Curaçao and UKGC guide explains the difference between the licences.

Protection is thin on the crypto side too. The Financial Conduct Authority warns that buyers of unregulated cryptoassets get no help from the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if something goes wrong, and a blockchain transfer has no card-style chargeback.

05 / Deposits

Crypto deposits, networks and confirmations

Use the casino’s current deposit instruction for every payment: coin, network, address, any memo or tag, and the minimum. An address copied from an old payment or sent in a support chat may not be valid. Check whether your wallet takes its fee out of the amount sent; if it does, sending exactly the minimum can leave too little to be credited.

The casino credits a deposit once the network has confirmed it the number of times the casino requires, and that threshold varies by casino and coin. Keep the transaction hash with the casino’s deposit reference: the hash finds the payment on the blockchain, and the reference helps support find it in your account.

06 / Withdrawals

Crypto withdrawals and the deposit-method rules

A crypto withdrawal has a casino stage and a network stage: the casino reviews and releases the request, then the network carries it. A fast blockchain does not shorten the casino’s checks, and our withdrawal guide explains those checks.

The deposit method often decides the payout route. Rolletto, Cosmobet and Freshbet pay back to the deposit method, Wildies does not let money deposited in crypto leave another way, and Slotosport will not pay fiat after a crypto deposit, or crypto after a fiat one. So a card deposit does not give you a right to a crypto payout, and a Bitcoin deposit does not mean you can withdraw USDT. Make sure your receiving wallet supports the same coin and network as the payout.

Turning crypto into pounds is a separate step through an exchange, with its own checks, rates and fees, and our bank transfer guide covers the final payment to your bank. A completed casino payout does not mean pounds have reached your account.

07 / Fees and conversion

Crypto fees, conversion and price changes

Costs can arise when you buy the coin, send it, convert a casino balance, withdraw, sell and move pounds to your bank. Network fees are separate from any casino charge: on Ethereum the fee is paid in ether, and a transaction that fails can still use it up. Winbeast, Legionbet and Winplace offer no exchange between fiat and crypto, so a crypto balance stays in that coin and its value moves with the market.

Casino terms can add charges too. Rolletto, Velobet, Zizobet, Cosmobet and Freshbet reserve the right to charge deposit and withdrawal processing costs if you withdraw before betting three times your last deposit, without stating an amount, and Rolletto and Velobet reserve 20% deductions on deposits that are not played through. If a deduction appears, ask for the clause and an itemised calculation.

Example: a Bitcoin payout turned into pounds
StageIllustrated amount
Casino payout0.004 BTC, worth £200 at an invented £50,000 per BTC.
Network fee (assumed)0.0001 BTC, leaving 0.0039 BTC.
Sale (assumed 1% fee)0.0039 BTC is £195, less £1.95, leaving £193.05.
Bank withdrawal (assumed £1 fee)£192.05 reaches your bank.

Every figure is invented. If the price fell to £45,000 per BTC before you sold, the same 0.0039 BTC would be worth £175.50: the coin amount stays the same while its value in pounds moves, which is separate from any casino deduction.

UK tax records for cryptocurrency

HMRC treats selling, swapping or spending cryptoassets as disposals that can create a Capital Gains Tax liability when there is a gain. Keep records of what you paid, dates, amounts, fees and pound values for each transaction; how it is taxed depends on your circumstances.

08 / Verification

Crypto casinos and account verification

Crypto does not mean anonymous. A transaction hash shows a payment on the blockchain, not who owns the wallet or where the money came from, so casinos can still ask for identity, ownership and source-of-funds evidence. The terms of all five Santeda casinos and Freshbet also let them close every account involved if one crypto wallet or address is used by two or more players. Our verification guide explains what each check covers.

Never give anyone your private keys or recovery phrase as evidence; support does not need them to look up a public transaction, and a request for them should end the conversation.

09 / Bonuses

Crypto casino bonuses

Several casinos run separate crypto offers: Velobet’s blog lists a 160% crypto welcome match, Freshbet offers 150% up to €500, Wildies 200% up to €2,000 on a first crypto deposit, and Winplace 5% on each crypto deposit with a code. Betmac goes the other way and excludes crypto deposits from its welcome offer.

A bigger match usually comes with conditions: Freshbet’s requires 40 times the deposit plus bonus within 30 days, with a €5 maximum bet, on slots and mini games only. Check how an offer measures a crypto deposit in euros, its wagering and its expiry before you accept it; our bonus conditions guide explains how these rules interact.

10 / Wallet security

Wallet security and spending control

With a wallet you control, you manage access and recovery yourself; with an exchange, you depend on its security and withdrawal rules. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private, and open the official app yourself rather than following a link in a message.

Crypto can also weaken the controls that protect your spending. Winbeast’s terms say deposit limits cannot be applied to crypto deposits made through its CoinsPaid processor, so a limit you set may not cover them; the Winbeast review covers its other account controls. Price swings can make it harder to see how much you have spent; track your deposits in pounds as well as coins.

11 / Missing payments

Missing crypto payments and complaints

Start from the last stage you can confirm, and keep the coin, network, amount, address, time, transaction hash and account reference together.

Where to look for a missing crypto payment
SituationWhat to check and who to ask
No transfer on the blockchainAsk the sender whether the payment is queued, failed or sent, and for the transaction hash; an internal withdrawal number is not a hash.
Transfer still pendingCheck the right network’s explorer and compare the confirmations with what the recipient requires.
Ethereum transfer failedA failed transaction can show a block and a fee without moving the funds; ask the sender before retrying.
Transfer succeeded, balance unchangedGive the receiving casino or wallet the hash and your account reference, and ask what confirmation or checks remain.

Wrong coin, network or address

Contact the receiving service through its official support and ask whether that exact transfer can be recovered; many services cannot credit a coin or network they do not support. Treat anyone who asks for another payment, or for remote access to your wallet, to recover funds as a likely scam.

Complaints

For a casino deduction or refusal, ask for the reason and the clause, then use the casino’s complaints process. A blockchain record supports your timeline but cannot decide whether a casino’s condition was fair.

12 / Final verdict

Final verdict on Curaçao crypto casinos

Every casino we review takes crypto, so choosing between Curaçao crypto casinos comes down to their terms. The blogs promise payouts in minutes or hours, but the terms are slower and stricter: three banking days for every payout at four Santeda casinos, and deposit-method rules that can lock crypto in or out. Among the casinos without a named licence, Winbeast, Legionbet and Winplace also offer no currency exchange.

Match the coin and network at both ends, read the payout and bonus terms rather than the marketing, and remember that crypto carries less protection than a card or bank payment. For a missing payment, use the transaction hash to find the stage that failed before you contact anyone.

Keep essential money out of gambling and never borrow to gamble; our responsible gambling information covers limits and breaks, and the National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, offers free, confidential support.

How we checked this guide

We read the terms, payment pages, promotions, footers and operator blogs of all 12 casinos we review in October 2026 and compared their crypto wording; we made no crypto payments. The UK points come from the Gambling Commission, the Financial Conduct Authority and HMRC. Casino terms change, so check the current version before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

How many crypto casinos are based in Curaçao?

We know of no official count of crypto casinos licensed in Curaçao. Of the 12 casinos we review, all accept crypto and seven hold a Curaçao licence, so crypto is the norm among the Curaçao casinos we cover, not a niche.

Which cryptocurrencies do Curaçao casinos accept?

The five Santeda casinos and Freshbet list Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, Tether, Monero and Dash as account currencies. Betmac, also Curaçao-licensed, advertises crypto without a full coin list; among the casinos we review that name no licence, Legionbet and Winplace add Dogecoin.

Are crypto withdrawals instant at Curaçao casinos?

The blogs say minutes or hours, but the terms of Rolletto, Velobet, Zizobet and Cosmobet allow three banking days for every payout. Legionbet and Winplace state instant crypto payouts and Winbeast up to 24 hours on the casino side, though none of the three names a licence; the network and any exchange then add their own time.

Can I send USDT on any network?

No. USDT exists on several networks, mainly Tron and Ethereum, and both ends must support the same one. Sending it on a network the casino does not support usually means losing it.

Do Curaçao crypto casinos skip verification?

No. A blockchain payment does not prove who you are or where the money came from, so casinos can still ask for identity and source-of-funds evidence. Never share your private keys or recovery phrase.

Do crypto deposits get casino bonuses?

Some do: Velobet, Freshbet, Wildies and Winplace advertise crypto offers, but Betmac excludes crypto deposits from its welcome bonus. Check the wagering, maximum bet and expiry before accepting one.
